WASHINGTON D.C. – A new law has been passed in the United States stating that you must now be 25 years old to legally buy and smoke cigarettes. The law will take affect on September 2, 2014.
The law was actually introduced on May 14, 2012 but was kept away from the public. The bill was approved by all government branches and President Obama because they all agreed that 18 year olds are still too young to begin smoking since they just became a legal adult. “Like the legal drinking age of 21, it is a good decision to raise the legal smoking age to 25”, says House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner. for daily news, visit Huzlers.com often.
